Klarmo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 11, 2026

Overview

Klarmo ("Klarmo," "we," "us") provides a personal net worth tracking application for individuals and family offices to aggregate, monitor, and report on their own net worth. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

  • Account information — your name or username, email address (unless you choose an anonymous account), and a securely hashed password. If you enable two-factor authentication, we store the related setup details.
  • Portfolio and financial data — the assets, valuations, cash flows, and related details you choose to enter, across cash, real estate, public and private securities, and other holdings.
  • Usage and device data — sign-in timestamps, IP address, and browser or device information, collected for security and troubleshooting.
  • Website analytics — our public marketing pages may use basic analytics to understand traffic. Portfolio data you enter inside the app is never included in this tracking.

Anonymous accounts

Klarmo lets you register with a username instead of an email address, so your account can never be tied back to your identity. If you choose an anonymous account, we do not collect or store any information that identifies you personally, assuming you do not enter assets that can be tied back to you.

How we use information

We use your information to operate the service: authenticating you, calculating your net worth and related metrics, sending account-related communications (such as sign-in codes), maintaining the backups you configure, and keeping the service secure. We may use aggregated, de-identified data to improve Klarmo.

How we share information

We do not sell your data. We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate Klarmo, such as email delivery and hosting
  • The cloud storage provider you personally connect for backups — Google Drive, Dropbox, or Microsoft OneDrive — for the backup files you request
  • Authorities, if required by law

Data retention

We retain your account and portfolio data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your data within a reasonable period, unless we're required to keep it longer by law.

Security

We protect your data with encryption, hashed passwords, two-factor authentication, and HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection.

Your rights

You can update your account information and notification preferences at any time from within the app. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, contact us using the form linked in the footer below.

Cookies

Our marketing website may use cookies for basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children

Klarmo is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
